When not in the theatre, Kenney loves playing and singing around the city. He has been at his home bar, the world-famous Marie’s Crisis Café, for over a decade and can be found playing at many other venues around the city.
Kenney has had the pleasure of taking Marie’s Crisis to other pop-up venues around the globe. For over 5 years now he has performed with the famed piano bar in the Melbourne Fringe Festival, the Spectrum Now Festival and The Oxford Hotel in Sydney, the Harare International Festival of the Arts in Zimbabwe and helping with the grand opening of Overtures Piano Bar in London.

"Bump IT WITH A TRUMPET"
On the trumpet, Kenney has proudly marched for over 5 years with the Queer Big Apple Corp, New York City’s premier symphonic and marching band. In 2019 attended the LGBA conference in Orlando, FL, representing The Big Apple Corps playing under the baton of many fine conductors…including Julie Giroux. Kenney is thrilled and honored to be joining the Board of Directors in January 2024.

Along with his partner Adam Tilford, Kenney has been fortunate to partner with Darren Criss in his yearly “Coachella-esque” event, ELSIE FEST, leading the crowd in massive, energetic sing-a-longs!
